Jurgen Klopp positive in Mohamed Salah’s contract talks

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has revealed his hope that Mohamed Salah will sign a new deal at Anfield.

The striker appeared to indicate that the ball was in the club’s court during a recent interview with the magazine, but Klopp spoke positively of the situation.

“I’m very optimistic about that but I don’t think it makes sense to speak on behalf of the fans because I’m sure the fans are not as nervous as you,” Klopp said.

“They’ve known the club for a long time and they’ve known the people here who deal with different things for a very long time, so I think there are enough reasons to be positive. But as long as it’s not done, we can’t say anything about it.

“But, good conversations – that’s what I can say.”
